2 distinctive driving modes

The Touareg R plug-in hybrid combines an electric motor and a TSI petrol engine. When the battery is sufficiently charged, you start in virtually silent electric mode, producing zero local carbon emissions. If you activate hybrid mode, you combine both drives for maximum system output of 340 kW.

Towing capacity

With 3.5 tonne braked towing capacity the Touareg is tailor-made for your Kiwi summer adventures. Whether towing a boat or pulling a caravan to scenic spots, The Touareg ensures a seamless and stress-free towing experience.

Off-road driving

Enhance the qualities of the Touareg R PHEV with the off-road package. Alongside seven standard driving modes, OFF-ROAD and SNOW can also be used to adapt the engine and gear settings to the conditions.

"E mode“ and "Hybrid“

The Touareg V6S R-Line has 30-colour ambient lighting as standard. The lower and upper area of the interior can thus be illuminated in different colours independently of each other. If two different colours are selected, the main colour is adopted additionally for the displays. You can therefore create completely different lighting scenarios depending on your mood.

Power Adjustable Steering Column

The memory function allows you to save your preferred steering wheel position to your separate driving profiles, so you can always have it set up perfectly for you and any other drivers.
